The North American T-28 Trojan was a piston-engined military trainer aircraft used by the United States Air Force and United States Navy. T-28As were built from 1950 - 1953 and was the first model of the T-28. It was powered by an 800 hp Wright R-1300 with a 2 blade constant speed propeller. Besides its use as a trainer, the T-28 was successfully employed as a Counter-insurgency (COIN) aircraft, primarily during the Vietnam War.

Its plug-in wings make it easier to assemble and dissemble as well as provides easy transport to and from the flying field. It includes fixed landing gear, gear doors and fiberglass cowl features with a removable top-hatch which provides access to and conceals the power switches.
